Beauty Photography Course.

In this course you will see 4 different lighting setups using 1 strobe light. Some of the lighting setups have different variations making it really 8 different lighting setups. You will see how I shoot out of my home, and how in a small space I am able to create the type of beauty photos that I will show you.

The lighting setups include: Beauty Dish - with & without a grid, Umbrella - direct & feathered, Magnum Reflector, and Barebulb - direct & bounced.

I will show you my equipment, how I find my teams, what happens before the shoot, and of course each lighting setup. I also included 8 raw photos for you to be able to practice retouching and also so you can see what we did today and get familiar with each lighting setup.

I started photography 2.5 years ago and I’ve been able to accomplish a lot in that short amount of time by practicing and being 90% self taught. I am showing you what I wished someone showed me when I was learning, in a short class without getting too complicated and just showing you what you are most curious of - my lighting setup.

    This is the least expensive way to use studio lighting. We learn 2 different ways I use my strobe light without a modifier - Directed at the model and bounced on the wall or foam board.

  • Part 6: Lighting Setup 2 - Magnum Reflector
    Learn how I use my magnum reflector, similar to the barebulb lighting setup but harsher light.

  • Part 7: Lighting Setup 3 - Beauty Dish
    I will show you how I use a beauty dish in 2 different ways, with and without a grid/honeycomb for a more glam lighting setup.

  • Part 8: Lighting Setup 4 - Umbrella
    This is how I use my silver umbrella in 3 different ways: Directly without diffusion, directed with diffusion, and the fun part - feathered.
